Leaving Iraq

So the US is finally pulling the rest of the troops out of Iraq. Thinking about this I am concerned. I am glad the troops are coming home. Their country however will just go back to how things were before. I am sure they will keep the democracy we started but for how long? I don’t think we should stay either. We are really in a tough place because the soldiers need to come home, but leaving puts them back to how things were. I don’t have all the answers and from a soldiers perspective I wouldn’t want to be there. What should America do after we are gone? Should we wait and see what happens? Should we stay close and be prepared to react if they do something? What are your thoughts?

Current times

The United States is going through some tough times. We are in a state of economic crises and our government isn’t doing much to fix it. Plans to add new jobs are great but when those jobs won’t be added until 2014 its hard to go along with. Everyone is mad and people are occupying Wallstreet complaining that they are the problem. We can’t blame one group of people when the fault is on many. The people of Wallstreet are just trying to make a living as well. Life is always going to be a struggle and blaming others for our situation is not going to fix anything. We must work together to bring stability back to our nation. I don’t have all the answers I am just a citizen, but we need someone in the Whitehouse that is for ALL the people not just certain people. At this point all I have seen are politicians and they don’t have anyone but themselves in mind when it comes to our country. I wish I could run for president because I would not care about power or be corrupted. My views and policies would be what is best for ALL the people. I would not accept donations for a campaign or for that matter run a traditional campaign. I would use the time and resources more wisely and focus on a plan to get us out of this mess. I would penalize companies that send jobs overseas and give credits to those that create/keep jobs here. We need real change! Politicians will never suffice. In our next election vote for a real person not a robot.

A review of Cop Out

I saw this movie a little while ago and was going to write a review of it. I got busy and never got the chance to so I thought I would go ahead and do so tonight. I wasn’t familiar with the movie before I went. In my opinion this was good in this case because sometimes trailers give away to much information about the films and when you do see them you are disappointed due to a lack of fulfillment. In my case I didn’t know what to expect at all. If you like action/comedy flicks this is for you. A lot of both and keeps you interested with a good story line. Movies are sometimes predictable but this one had me wondering where the end was going. I can usually figure out how things are going to play out in my head but they had a lot of options with the ending that I was happy to not know what was going to happen.

Tracy Morgan did a wonderful job giving the comedy and Bruce Willis played into it as well. With a little help for Sean Williams Scott to give the edge a little more comedic. The action was intense but not unbelievable. Not a Die Hard by any means but Willis does go for a bit without a shoe. I would rank this as a good movie to see in the theater and a good one to buy when it is released. I am looking forward to seeing the outtakes because I think the crew could have been pretty fun on set ad libbing and such.

Don’t bring the kids to see it though as it has a lot of foul language. Even as Willis gets older he isn’t loosing his touch. He captures your attention even with the comedy distracts. I felt this movie the whole way through definitely an A on my scale. If you know me that isn’t hard to get as long as its good. I will continue to review movies as I see them and I would also like to hear if you want me to review one for you. Let me know.
